We have thought long about our relationship from the beginning. It took us some time from being friends to start a romantic relationship. We also talked for a long time about moving in together before we actually did it. The only thing which came sudden where when Neil proposed. Even though he had thought about it for some months Tina where very surprised. Tina said Yes without a doubt (as soon as she understood that Neil meant it :-) )

We got engaged in secrecy on our first trip to Nepal. We where engaged for almost a year, when Neil said that he thought that we should get married now. Tina where a little surprised about it, since we early on had decided to wait a couple of years to save some money first. But we both felt so ready and egger that we decided that it should be the first coming summer. Then the planning started. Tina planned the whole wedding and we both made the final decisions. Neil planned the whole honeymoon as a surprise for Tina :-) We LOVE surprises.

We knew that we wanted perfect location, good accessibility in all terms, A la Carte food and good accommodation. Tina wanted to be married in a church or not married at all. So Neil where ... forced in that direction. But Neil knew that from the beginning and he did take the decision anyway. It means a lot to Tina to get blessed in the church. It is a serious step and that is also why we have been taking it slowly and talked a lot about it. We have talked a lot about our relationship, our dreams and hopes. An idea for people who wants to get married cold be to discuss some special issues before the marriage.

The wedding was typical Danish but with "a touch of Scotland".

We talk a lot about how to remember both traditions. The outcome was a surprise. We where really looking forward to this opportunity to make a special day for all of us.
